Dr. Peily Soong is a pediatrician at Pediatrics East in Trussville, AL. He has been in practice since 2004. Dr. Soong is from Birmingham, AL. He graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University then went on to complete his medical school training at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He did his residency in pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Soong is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as a member of the Jefferson County Pediatric Society. He is a regular guest on WBRC’s Good Day Alabama and has done numerous television and media interviews giving advice and insight on various pediatric topics. Dr. Soong is proud to be the medical director for Alabama Care Network Mid-State as he continues his desire to help the children of Alabama receive quality medical care.
Jim has twenty years of health care leadership experience with an extensive background in managing population health programs for Medicare beneficiaries and Medicaid recipients as well as provider relations. Prior to joining Alabama Care Network Mid-State, Jim was a market leader for Medicare Advantage health plans, including dual and institutional specials needs plans, and their care management services. He collaborated with clinical leaders in care delivery models that improved quality and patient outcomes while reducing the total cost of care. Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama.
